As of right now, The estranged brother-in-law of JENNIFER HUDSON has been locked up with the key thrown away.  27 year old William Balfour  was denied bond yesterday in Chicago after he was arrested and charged earlier this week in the murders of three of the Oscar-winner's family members.
According to Snow, Balfour threatened Julia Hudson over a birthday present he thought was from a man she was dating. Prosecutors say the two left the home together, but Julia drove off without him. The details are horrific, especially the ultimate killing of a 7 year old boy, so you probably know what I think should happen to the scumbag.

Prosecuters claimed the evidence against Balfour includes gunshot residue on the steering wheel of his car. Snow also claimed Balfour made what turned out to be inaccurate statements to authorities. However, Balfour's attorney maintains there is no evidence that directly links his client to the murders.

Balfour will next appear in court on December 30th.

TOM CRUISE, TINA FEY, WILL SMITH and MICHAEL PHELPS are among 2008's Most Fascinating People. That's according to BARBARA WALTERS, who features them all on her annual special, airing tonight on ABC-TV at 10pm ET.

Among the revelations on tonight's show: Tom Cruise regrets his previous crazy behavior and wants to have more kids; Will Smith has no interest in becoming president, even though he's sure he could if he wanted to, and Tina Fey doesn't think her impersonation of SARAH PALIN affected the election.

Other fascinating folks on tonight's special include actor FRANK LANGELLA, MILEY CYRUS, Sarah Palin, pregnant man THOMAS BEATTIE and RUSH LIMBAUGH. As for the most fascinating person of the year, Barbara won't reveal it, but she feels most people will be able to guess. Rumor has it that it's BARACK OBAMA, but you'll have to tune in to find out.

After 15 seasons, ER will close its doors on March 12th. NBC announced yesterday that the two-hour series finale of the medical drama will air on that date. Until then, let the speculation continue as to whether GEORGE CLOONEY will actually make a return appearance on the show. The former Dr. Doug Ross was a cast member of ER from 1994-1999, and made a cameo appearance in 2000. Some other ER alumni, including NOAH WYLE and ERIQ LA SALLE, are already slated to make appearances.

KELLY RIPA is ripping a report claiming her marriage to actor MARK CONSUELOS is in trouble. A rep for the Live with Regis and Kelly co-host told People magazine yesterday that a National Enquirer story alleging the couple has been fighting is inaccurate. The report also claims that Consuelos has left the couple's New York home. The spokesperson said, quote, "Their marriage continues to be quite healthy, and the National Enquirer should be ashamed for fabricating such an untruthful story." The couple's lawyer wants the tabloid to apologize and issue a retraction.

Ripa has been married to Consuelos, whom she met on the set of the daytime soap All My Children, since 1996. They have three kids together.

Us Weekly reports ANNE HECHE and her one-time Men In Trees co-star, JAMES TUPPER, are expecting their first child together. They took their relationship public after she split from her husband, COLEY LAFFOON, in 2007. Heche and Laffoon have a six-year-old son together. Men In Trees was cancelled by ABC this year after two seasons...
